Random word generator (digitaltoolpad.com/tools/random-word-generator): word list sources and licences The dictionary word list used by the random word generator, random noun, verb and adjective generators was built with scripts/build-random-word-data.mjs from the three sources below. It contains English words with a frequency level, parts of speech and a syllable count. The Pictionary, charades and topic lists (objects, animals, Christmas and so on) were written by Digital ToolPad and are not taken from these sources. ====================================================================== 1. 12dicts word lists, version 6.0.2 (frequency levels, file 2+2+3frq.txt) http://wordlist.aspell.net/12dicts/ ====================================================================== The 12dicts lists were compiled by Alan Beale. I explicitly release them to the public domain, but request acknowledgment of their use. (Actually, the dependency of the 2of12inf list and the 2+2+3 lists on AGID prevents their release into the public domain. However, I do not impose any additional requirements on their use beyond those imposed by AGID and its sources, as described in agid.txt.) - Alan Beale - The AGID copyright and source notice from agid.txt follows.
