A bold text generator swaps your letters for Unicode's bold characters โ a complete second alphabet that ships with every modern device. Because the weight belongs to the character rather than to formatting, it keeps working in places that strip formatting entirely: Instagram bios, LinkedIn headlines, X posts, Google review replies, and spreadsheet cells.
There is more than one bold. Unicode defines bold serif (๐๐จ๐ฅ๐), bold italic (๐ฉ๐๐๐ ), bold sans-serif (๐๐ผ๐น๐ฑ), bold sans italic (๐ฝ๐ค๐ก๐), bold script (๐๐ธ๐ต๐ญ), bold Fraktur (๐ญ๐๐๐), and a heavy outline (๐น๐ ๐๐). Bold is the safest style in the whole Unicode toolkit. It comes from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block, which is bundled with essentially every font on every platform, and it includes bold digits โ something the script and Fraktur alphabets never got.

Bold and bold sans-serif are two of the few styles with a full set of bold numbers, so "๐๐๐๐" looks right instead of falling back to plain digits.
Bold comes from the block every device bundles. It is labelled "Works everywhere" here because it genuinely does โ including on LinkedIn, where most other styling gets normalized away.
