Are my videos uploaded when I use these converters?
No. Files are read and converted by your browser on your device. Nothing is sent to a conversion server, so private recordings, client footage and family videos stay with you.
Is there a file size limit?
We don't set one. The fast engine reads files in small pieces, so multi-gigabyte videos work on most computers. The practical limit is your device's memory; in Chrome and Edge a single large MP4 can be saved straight to disk while it converts.
Which formats are supported?
Input: MOV, MP4, M4V, WebM, MKV, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG and more. Output: MP4 (H.264), MP3 (128–320 kbps) and animated GIF. Formats your browser can't decode, such as ProRes or AVI, automatically use a local FFmpeg engine.
