Digital ToolPad converts text-based PDFs into editable Word documents in DOCX format. Open one PDF, review the extracted text preview, and download the Word file. Conversion runs in your browser without uploading the PDF or requiring an account. The converter extracts text and attempts to reconstruct basic headings and paragraphs; it does not reproduce the original page layout exactly.
Open the PDF in a viewer and try selecting a sentence. PDFs made from scans or photos need a text layer first. This converter does not include optical character recognition (OCR).
Choose Select PDF File or drag one PDF into the file area. Wait for the tool to extract its content and generate the preview.
Read the preview and check for missing words, unexpected line breaks, and incorrect reading order. Text from columns or tables may need rearranging in Word.
Choose Convert to DOCX in the Actions panel. The Word file downloads automatically. Open it in a DOCX-compatible word processor and check the text, headings, spacing, and page breaks before using it.

A scanned page can be a picture of text with no actual text characters to extract. OCR recognizes letters in the picture and adds machine-readable text. This tool has no OCR, so an image-only PDF may produce empty or incomplete output. Use the original text document if available, or apply OCR elsewhere and review its recognized text before converting.
The converter uses text positions and font information to infer lines, paragraphs, and headings. It does not export PDF images or rebuild tables as Word tables. Multiple columns can have the wrong reading order, and fonts, spacing, and page breaks can change. Start with a simple text document and treat the download as an editable draft.
