What is a yes or no wheel?
A yes or no wheel is a spinner with two equal slices, Yes and No, that picks an answer at random. It is a quick way to break a tie, settle a small decision or add suspense to a game. Add Maybe for a third option, or rename the answers to decide between any two or three choices, such as pizza or tacos.
How to use Yes or No Wheel

Is the yes or no wheel really 50/50?
- Yes. With two answers each has a 1 in 2 chance; with Maybe added, each has 1 in 3.
- Results come from your browser’s Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues), the same source used for passwords and encryption keys. Values that would bias the result are discarded and redrawn (rejection sampling), so every allowed outcome has exactly the same chance. Nothing is sent to a server, so nobody can influence or record the draw.
- Streaks happen: getting Yes four times in a row has a 1 in 16 chance, so it will occur regularly over many spins.
More ways to decide at random: flip a coin, roll dice, spin a wheel of names, split people into random teams or organise a Secret Santa.

Should you book the trip? Spin three times. If the tally shows Yes 2 and No 1, Yes wins. Many people find that their reaction to the result tells them what they really wanted.

How does the yes or no wheel work?
When you spin, the answer is chosen with your browser’s cryptographic random generator. The wheel then animates and stops on that answer. Each answer has an equal chance.
Is the yes or no wheel fair?
Yes. Each spin is independent and each answer is equally likely: 50% with two answers, 33.3% with three. Previous spins have no effect on the next one.
Can I add a Maybe option?
Yes. Tick “Add a third answer (Maybe)” and the wheel splits into three equal slices.
Can I change Yes and No to other answers?
Yes. Edit the answer fields to decide between any two or three options, such as “Pizza” and “Tacos”.
Is it free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no limit on spins. Your questions and results stay on your device.
