Converting Parquet to CSV

Parquet is efficient for analytics but most business tools still want CSV or Excel. This converter reads the Parquet file in your browser, shows its schema and the data, and writes CSV (comma, semicolon or tab), JSON or .xlsx. Large 64-bit integers are written exactly, timestamps as ISO date-times, and nested values as JSON text.

How to convert Parquet to CSV

  1. Choose Open File and pick the .parquet file, or drag it onto the page.
  2. Check the schema panel for columns, types and compression.
  3. Sort, search and inspect values in the table.
  4. Export to CSV, JSON or Excel.

Reading Parquet types

  • INT64 values beyond JavaScript’s safe integer range are shown exactly, as text.
  • Timestamps are shown in UTC as YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.
  • Lists, maps and structs are shown as JSON.
  • Up to 500,000 rows are loaded; the total row count comes from the file footer.

Why use this Parquet to CSV converter

  • Check before convertingSee the schema, types and row count so there are no surprises.

  • Export what you needDownload the data, or just the rows matching your search, as CSV, TSV, JSON, Excel or a Markdown table.

Example: Parquet to Excel for a colleague

Open sample-orders.parquet, choose Excel (.xlsx) under Export and download: the numeric columns stay numeric in Excel.

What to expect from the result

The first 500,000 rows are loaded. Encrypted Parquet files are not supported. Very wide nested schemas are flattened to top-level columns, with nested values shown as JSON.
