New Year's Eve bingo and resolution bingo
New Year's bingo comes in two kinds. Party bingo fills the cards with things that happen on New Year's Eve, such as confetti, the ball drop, a toast and Auld Lang Syne, and guests mark them as the night goes on or as the host calls them. Resolution bingo is a personal goal board: 9, 16 or 25 things you want to do in the new year, crossed off one by one, with a prize to yourself for each line. This page does both: load the party list for a set of different cards, or load the resolutions list, edit it and print a single board for the fridge.
How to make New Year's bingo cards
- The New Year's Eve list and midnight gold theme are loaded. For a goal board, load New Year's resolutions instead.
- Choose the grid: 5x5 for a party, 3x3 or 4x4 for a resolution board with fewer, bigger goals.
- Set one card per guest, or 1 card for a personal board, and choose 1, 2 or 4 per page.

Resolution bingo tips
- Mix big goals with small ones, so you can complete a line in the first months.
- Turn off the free space for a stricter board, or label it with your word for the year.

Bingo rules and winning patterns
Every player gets a different card. The caller draws numbers or words one at a time and players mark them when they appear on their card. The first player to complete the agreed pattern shouts BINGO, the caller checks the card against the calls, and the round ends. Agree the pattern and the prizes before the first call.
- Any line
- A full row, column or diagonal. The free space counts. The usual first prize.
- Four corners
- The four corner squares. Quick to explain, a little slower to win than a line.
- Blackout (cover all)
- Every square on the card. Usually the last and biggest prize of the night.
- Two lines or X
- Agree it before the game and check it by eye; the caller checks lines, corners and blackout for you.
What is on a 75-ball bingo card?
The standard American bingo card is a 5x5 grid. Each column takes its numbers from its own range of 15, which is how a caller can say "N 42" and players know where to look. With the free space there are 24 numbers on a card, and 552,446,474,061,128,648,601,600,000 possible different cards, so a generator never runs out. On 3x3 and 4x4 cards this tool keeps the same idea: 15 numbers per column, so 1 to 45 and 1 to 60.
